Any applicable Service Guarantee with respect to these packages will be based on these revised delivery commitment times.

Suspension of Service Guarantee

Effective March 26, 2020, we suspended the UPS® Service Guarantee for all shipments from any origin to any destination. For all U.S. origin shipments, the Service Guarantee suspension became effective as of March 24, 2020.

The UPS Service Guarantee has been reinstated for the following services only:

The Service Guarantee remains suspended for all other UPS® shipments not specified in the above sections, from any origin to any destination.

As the effects of the Coronavirus impact our infrastructure, we will continue to seek guidance from local, state, and national government entities to ensure that we fully align with their regulations. We are committed to continue operating globally except where constrained by government restrictions.

Prior to shipping, please check to see if the recipient’s location is open, since many some businesses’ hours may have changed either due to local restrictions or at the business’s discretion. We will make three routine delivery attempts* before returning a package to the sender. Please continue to visit this site for the most up-to-date information regarding the impact of Coronavirus on UPS services.

*Where three routine delivery attempts do not coincide with a recipient’s adjusted (e.g., shortened, or weekend-only) business hours, the package will be returned to sender.

For your convenience, The UPS Store® and UPS Access Point® locations all provide access to your vital deliveries. Where available, you can sign up for free UPS My Choice which enables you to provide more specific delivery instructions such as where to leave deliveries, or redirect deliveries to another location, and also provides you with the ability to receive delivery notifications.

Service guarantees are subject to change. For further details, see the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions.

Subject to the Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service, UPS typically will guarantee on-schedule delivery of packages, shipped via UPS's services, that are listed as guaranteed, or will refund your transportation charges unless the UPS website has stated that it will not guarantee delivery due to reasons previously posted i.e Pandemic of 2020 UPS service disruption announcement etc. all of 2020 and 2021 UPS has announced that they will not guarantee delivery on most shipping options. Guaranteed Service is not available in all areas and does not apply to shipments containing a package with an Additional Handling or Large Package surcharge. Scheduled business days and delivery schedules are revised occasionally due to changes in distribution and volume, especially during holiday periods. Service to some remote areas also may require additional delivery days.

For current delivery schedules, service availability and information, and a description of the UPS service Guarantee, see the UPS Rate and Service Guide.US Time in Transit Map

The most up-to-date transit time details will be available at ups.com/ctc at the time of shipping. Certain commodities and high value shipments may require additional transit time for customs clearance.

DRY ICE FACTS

Dry Ice temperature is extremely cold at -109.3°F or -78.5°C.

Always handle Dry Ice with care and wear protective cloth or leather gloves whenever touching it.

An oven mitt or towel will work.

If touched briefly it is harmless, but prolonged contact with the skin will freeze cells and cause injury similar to a burn.

WARNING:

If dry ice is stored in an area without proper ventilation, it may cause people to inhale large amounts of the gas CO2, which displaces oxygen in the body, the CDC says.

This, in turn, can lead to harmful effects, including headache, confusion, disorientation and death

Disposing Dry Ice

To dispose of dry ice, place it in a well-ventilated area at room temperature; the remainder of the ice will sublimate away. Never dispose of dry ice in a trash can, chemical waste container or other garbage/waste can.

Dry ice is solidified carbon dioxide. ... So if you receive dry ice in any packages this season, please don't leave it in your home to evaporate. The best thing to do is leave it outside, in a place that is out of the reach of children, pets, and the general public.
